Do Ethernet testers perform on both wired and wireless networks?

Ethernet Network Tester are mainly designed for wired networks. They check the quality of Ethernet cables, test connectivity, detect faults, and measure signal strength in wired networks. These testers help identify broken wires, incorrect wiring, or speed issues in Ethernet cables.

However, Ethernet testers do not work on wireless networks because Wi-Fi does not use physical cables. Instead, Wi-Fi analyzers or wireless testers are used for wireless networks. These tools check signal strength, interference, and connection speed in a Wi-Fi network.

If you need to test both wired and wireless networks, you may need two different tools, an Ethernet tester for cables and a Wi-Fi analyzer for wireless connections. Some advanced network testers can support both functions.
